Video provides security with eyes. Axxon Professional provides it with a brain.

Axxon Professional provides you with a number of video and audio detectors that bring unique features to your security system. Whether you're looking for luggage someone might have set down or a specific suspect individual, Axxon Professional is smart enough to find them – and then report quickly and clearly so that you can take the appropriate action.

You can specify a number of detection areas, and multiple detectors can operate at the same time on the same location. For example, a room may have an entry door monitored by a camera. You can augment this security with an activity detector, object-tracking detector, and person detector, all trained on the door. Using another example, a safe can be secured with an activity detector, a closing camera lens detector, and a background change detector.

Video Detectors

Motion/Direction Detector

Where is a person going? Is an object traveling in the right direction? The Motion/Direction Detector gives you precise, automated results based on technology that no other security system currently has.

For example, you could use the Motion/Direction Detector to monitor passenger movement through restricted areas, such as immigration, in airports. This greatly reduces the incidence of fraud and terrorist activity.

The Motion/Direction Detector:

  • Detects all motion within the video frame, identifying specific moving objects and their direction.
  • Can detect motion within a portion of a frame only or by grouping different parameters, such as threshold, object size, contrast, and so on.
  • Uses eight standard directional parameters: left, right, up, down and the four diagonals.
  • Provides an excellent way to monitor restricted areas or places where one-way motion is prescribed (for example, a conveyor belt). The system identifies video fragments containing rule-violating events and notifies the appropriate operator.

The Motion/Direction Detector works quickly and has a low processor load – essential when there are a large number of video channels to be processed. For higher-quality motion recognition, we recommend the Activity Detector or Tracking Objects Detector.

Activity Detector

The Activity Detector makes it possible to quickly detect a moving object within the camera's field of vision with a high level of quality, attracting the operator's attention to that part of the video frame. This leads to faster responses and fewer false negatives.

Tracking Objects Detector

This fundamental detector recognizes the presence of moving objects, determines the direction of their movement, and tracks the movement trajectory in the control area of camera. When the moving object corresponding to the set parameters is detected, a graphical display shows direction of trajectory of the specific object on the monitor. This enables your operators to see at a glance where the object is heading.

You can specify which areas of an image the Tracking Objects Detector is to look for by using masking. As well, you can look for a number of objects by setting a group of detectors, each with its own different parameters such as sensitivity, object size, contrast range, and so on.

MomentQuest search technology, combined with this detector, can find video fragments using defined parameters. For example, you can determine whether workers in a sensitive area returned to the workspace after business hours.

Facial Detector

To thwart intruders, you must be able to find them. Axxon Professional's Facial Detector will notify operators once it recognizes the presence of a human face within the frame.

Left Items Detector

This detector notifies the system when objects appear and disappear within the video frame. For example, it can be set to alert operators if a suitcase of briefcase is left for any period of time in a public place. On detection of the suspicious item, an alarm will immediately sound.

Axxon Professional's MomentQuest feature can easily detect, for example, a notebook that disappeared from a table, or locate a car that is illegally parked or in the wrong parking spot .

Audio Detectors

Axxon Professional's audio detectors do the listening for you. Whether it's detecting a human presence in a restricted area or a fan that's exceeding its operating noise level, the system can alert you of unusual sounds in any situation.

Service Video Detectors

Service video detectors protect your video surveillance system from intruders' attempts to vandalize or destroy it. Axxon Professional's service video detectors ensure you're protected around the clock, and prevent expensive destruction of property.

Service detectors are especially useful for cameras working independently without video operator presence. Once the intruder tries to act against a camera, the corresponding sensor can notify others on the system.

Service video detectors include:

  • Closing Camera Lens Detector: This detector can tell when a camera lens is closed or obscured by a cover, hand, piece of fabric or any other object. This detector is especially useful where cameras are in within reach of passers-by.
  • Camera Lens Exposure Detector: This detector signals the user if someone is trying to distort the camera image by directing a beam of light into a camera lens – for example, from a lantern, projector or headlight.
  • Background Change Detector: This detector reacts if it senses the background changing in the recorded scene. It prevents manipulations such as placing an artificial background in front of the lens. Since it's impossible to slant the angle of the false image, the detector can easily sense sabotage.
  • Focusing Detector: If an individual changes a camera's focus or removes the lens completely, this detector will sense the change and alert the appropriate operator. The detector checks for hard edges within the video frame. If these hard edges disappear, focus has been lost and an alarm will sound to prevent loss of video information.
  • Video Signal Stability Detector: This detector measures the appearance of noise in the video signal. If the level of noise increases sharply, the detector will alert a user, preventing the loss of important information.
